A Veterans Day Tradition at Cotton Patch Cafe
Cotton Patch Cafe has served free meals to military guests on Veterans Day for more than ten years. D Magazine listed the free chicken fried steak among Dallas–Fort Worth Veterans Day deals in 2015, and the tradition has continued every November since.
In 2023, Cotton Patch donated $1 from every Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken sold on Veterans Day to Homes For Our Troops, the nonprofit that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. That day raised $13,504, presented to the organization at our North Richland Hills cafe, as reported by FSR Magazine.
