Texas-inspired restaurant gives back to local communities in need

DALLAS – April 1, 2021 – Cotton Patch Cafe, a Texas-inspired, homestyle restaurant serving Southern classics, today announced its donation of $40,000 amongst four Texas-based nonprofits.

  • GRACE (Grapevine, TX): Provides food, clothing and financial assistance for individuals and families with a limited income.
  • HopeKids (Keller/Watauga, TX): Offers a strong support community for families who have a child with cancer or other life-threatening medical condition.
  • CASA of the Pines (Lufkin, TX): Advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system.
  • Rays of Hope (Midland, TX): Supports children and adolescents who have experienced loss due to death, divorce, incarceration, foster care or other painful transition.

“Cotton Patch Cafe is proud to continue supporting our local communities in any way we can,” said Mazen Albatarseh, CEO of Cotton Patch Cafe. “With 2020 being a tough year for many, it’s more important than ever for us to come together and help those in need. We are looking forward to a brighter 2021 and continue to build a culture of kindness with our motto Love One Another.”

The four donations will assist the local nonprofits as they purchase needed supplies, support new or ongoing programming efforts, and more. Earlier this week, Cotton Patch Cafe presented the four $10,000 donations at check ceremonies with restaurant personnel and nonprofit employees.

“The Cotton Patch Cafe family is honored to partner with these nonprofits and help further their missions,” adds Albatarseh. “As a family-oriented establishment, we are thankful for the opportunity to give back. Some of these nonprofits have been around for decades, and we know their communities rely on them for support.”

For the past 31 years, Cotton Patch Cafe has donated funds and food throughout Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Located in 49 cities throughout the region, Cotton Patch Cafe strives to serve those in need both in and out of its restaurant doors with warm food and hospitality.
